Christie is an entrepreneurial Finance Executive with an MBA in Finance from Pace University Lubin School of Business (NY) and a BSBA in Accounting from Suffolk University. Christie started her career as a Senior Cost Accountant with BASF Multi-Media Manufacturing group. She has held executive level finance positions as Controller, CFO and Executive VP of Finance in both public and private companies. Christie is both technically and operationally proficient. With over 30 years extensive knowledge of business, finance, and accounting operations, she is highly skilled in business transformation through automation and data analysis. She collaborates with stakeholders in implementing holistic technologies and systems that streamline and optimize business and financial processes for efficiencies that drive growth, sustainability, and compliance.

Highlights

  • Christie revamped and managed pre-sales qualification processes of a public company that was losing millions of dollars in demo-equipment and Professional Service (PS) costs. She collaborated with Sales teams in developing and implementing processes and policies that reduced demo/loaner equipment costs by $10M and PS utilization costs by more than $1M, annually. She also developed a business case validation template used in business and technical review projects > $75k.
  • Christie successfully led and managed the implementation, integration, and optimization of business systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SFDC, Adaptive Insights, AVATAX) for a $100M private healthcare technology company. She collaborated with key stakeholders to define business and functional requirements as well as processes for Quote-to-Order, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Revenue Recognition Rules (ASC 606) and all compliance processes. During the implementation project, a new company was acquired and Christie led the migration of the acquired company into the new business systems.
  • Following the merger of two $500M public companies, Christie collaborated with business leads to design and implement a combined chart-of-accounts, implemented and integrated Hyperion FP&A with a recent SAP implementation, and she successfully planned for subsequent company growth as revenue grew over 100% to $2.2B and over 1,000 new employees were hired in the year following the merger.
  • Christie has led Accounting and Finance Operations including setting up the infrastructure for managing a $1B public company. She designed business and financial operations processes and controls for compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, FCPA, and Revenue Recognition (ASC 606 and IFRS 15). She streamlined the MD&A format for annual and quarterly reporting and led preparation of process narratives including impairment testing and analysis for annual audits with Big 4 firms E&Y and KPMG.
